Welcome to 2009! This year brings about an opportunity for change and increased civic engagement. Volunteers represent an integral part of the success of Second Harvest’s ability to help provide food to people in need in our community. Last year volunteers provided 214,398 volunteer hours.
Simply amazing, we are indeed grateful.

While the upcoming Martin Luther King’s National Day of Service event with the Food Bank is full, we are very much in need of food donations. Please consider engaging your neighbors, friends and co-workers to participate in a food drive. Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties involves hundreds of volunteers each week in all aspects of our operation. We welcome and appreciate your time, talent and interest for the benefit of others in our community. We have individual and group volunteer opportunities for individuals 14 years of age or older.
